Fewer people have land lines, and fewer of those answer their phones.

At one point in time that may have been a factor in polling accuracy. Damn near
everybody has a cell phone and that is becoming the easiest way to contact people.
The pollesters have to learn to adjust and I think they are doing it.
It’s illegal to use dialing machines on cell phone numbers.
