"John Boehner dedicated his life to public service. Bringing the Holy Father to Congress was a fitting cap to a great career," Bush said, referring to Pope Francis accepting an invitation from Boehner to speak before lawmakers on Thursday.

I still do not know why but he gives me the creeps! I could never imagine him as our President.

Neither can I. He seems to just be going through the motions...as it is just expected of him and/or he was pushed into ‘his turn’.

Thanks - Cheers!

I just got so sick of Boehner always surrendering and supporting the regime. Glad he's gone, let's hope they get smart and put someone who won't cause a another revolt.

Honestly, I see him as an abysmal failure at the point where the republic truly needed a man to stand up to the muslim poser.

Harsh? Think of all of those suffering under the tyrant because Boehner failed to do his job.

Just how I see it.

I hope he gets help if he truly is an alcoholic. That being said, damage to the republic is done. Let’s hope we can undo it.

I am waiting with impatience for such to be the case. However I have a sneaking thought that McConnell is better fortified politically and socially. McConnell is as much if not more of a political sleaze ball as is/was Boehner.

They’re out of touch in the Beltway and they all live in a bubble.

People are glad to see Boehner go and folks like Jeb and Kasich don’t really get it.

The anger at the party leaders is deep and palpable. Leaders in Washington want to cross the aisle and showing they can govern.

On the other hand, the American people want Obama’s agenda stopped and no one is listening to them.

We’re going to continue to clean house both in the GOP and in Washington.

I agree with that. I just didn’t agree with the notion that Boehner was in it for himself.
