Who cares? Doing the right thing isn’t always popular. To hell with the “government”. It truly NEVER shuts down.
Speaker Boehner quit, forcing the Ohio government to pay for a special election. In 2007, after Rep. Pelosi became speaker, ex-Speaker Hassert quit, forcing the Illinois government to pay for a special election. In 1999, then-Speaker Gingrich suddenly quit, causing the Georgia government to pay for a special election. All three of those republican leaders were inconsiderate to their states. If they didn’t want to be leaders, anymore, they should have resigned from their leadership roles and served, as congressmen, until the end of their terms.
Color me insensitive, but I rather enjoy the imagery of boner being terrified...of us.
