The shotgun is only "out of vogue" among the "geardoes" out there. All the "cool kids" run AR rifles for "home defense" now. The most ridiculous things get said to defend this choice.

"The AR doesn't penetrate much drywall." Despite this, it is then claimed, "My AR will penetrate soft body armor."

"My AR holds 30+1 rounds ready to go." If you fire them all, that will be some amusing testimony from the defendant's dock.

Blah, blah, blah. I'm a fully grown man and I like using my Mossberg 590A1. I agree though, recoil ain't for sissies.
