Plan to register old guns rejected (Switzerland)

Supporters of mandatory gun registration had argued that the police had been calling for this simple measure to increase firearm safety.

“In Switzerland we register cars. It is odd not to do it for guns whose primary aim is to kill. It would allow us to save lives and avoid family shootings,” said Green Party senator Luc Recordon.

Register? WTH? Oh. Silly Friday I guess. "Guns are just like cars so why not register them?" Sound familiar? I'm sure someone will give us the current up to date Swiss gun laws quote.

I would think the Swiss army knows where all of its firearms are. An army just doesn’t hand out weapons without a hand receipt.

Liberal politicians fail to recognize that gun registration doesn’t prevent crime.

“Switzerland’s gun suicide rate is only second to the United States.”

It should be noted that Japan has a higher over-all suicide rate than both countries - even though Japan has VERY strict gun control laws...

"But critics said complete safety was impossible and no one planning to use a gun illegally would ever consider registering it."

That bears repeating.

What do they mean "in circulation"?
I bet most guns don't change hands very often.

The only reason to register guns is to make it easier to confiscate them when the gov’t decides to do so.

At the rate the islamic invaders are flowing into Europe, your going to need those guns for defense, because islam is rapidly taking control of all the institutions of every country including the U.S.

We the people have the constitutional authority to DEPOSE the current tyrannical gov’t... we fail our duty to protect and defend our Constitutional Free Republic.

Perhaps this election cycle will put us on the road to restoration BUT the progressive liberal democrat/rino communist uni-party has spent decades corrupting the election process for just such a time as this; when they face a real challenge; and by all indicators we are too weak too comfortable to fight, the current most entertaining political campaign nonsense we are putting up with is an encouragement to the enemies within.

Yes we the people have failed and will continue to fail our duty to rid ourselves of tyranny and DEPOSE the current gov’t, daily we signal to our enemies, have at it, fear is dominate as a result we have demonstrated deep down we are comfortable or a the least willing to tolerate whatever the tyrants bring, let some future generation deal with it.

I think they’re talking about weapons other than those supplied by the Swiss Armed Forces.

It may be time for leftists to form a new international affinity group. We could call them Totalitarians Without Borders.

It will bring an end to gun violence and domestic violence. See how easy that was. LOL! Oh, and there will be no more suicides either.

It’s a shame that the tagline is so accurate. What don’t these assclowns understand about being born or living in what used to be the greatest country ever devised? Guess a lot of them never had “real world” experience to judge by. Mrs. rktman went to Armenia right after the fall of the USSR to help teach free enterprise. Wow was she glad to be back in the U.S. after a few weeks there. LOL! Can you say kissing the ground and thankin’ the Lord for a safe return?

Notice it is the same tripe worldwide with these totalitarians. Always register, register, register, then confiscate, then exterminate.

I will not comply. This crap comes to America, even in the free states? They will have to kill me first.

Don’t they gotta find you first? A lot harder to be “scarce” these days with infra-red and quiet drones and all.
