From day one here I have advocated the 80% rule contrary to accusations of purity. One guy I know of on that candidate list hits it. So far Trump says words. We like many of those words. But they are words spoken by a pol in the heat of an election run.

Agreed, though I'm not sure that the highest office of the land is the best laboratory for upstart political figures to first prove themselves.
If Trump at least had some kind of track record funding and advocating the political positions that he now claims to espouse (as Ross Perot did - i.e. he lobbied for a balanced budget amendment long before he ran with it as a Presidential candidate), I'd be much more comfortable with him. In fact, Trump has never used his wealth and fame to advocate border security until now, if anything, he's been on the wrong side of the issue quite recently.
