Who’s to say all of this isn’t a farce? Something about all of it just doesn’t seem right. It hasn’t from the start and it sure doesn’t seem right now. If something looks to good to be true it probably is. It’s like watching a scripted reality show.
Trump is an expert on that. Whether Fox wanted it or not, Trump has made it about social media right and wrong. He's skilled at it for an old man. I think you're seeing what the culture has become and your discomfort is about not being a part of it. There are major shifts going on and they don't involve a renewed interest in The Federalist Papers.
