At some point “gradualism” becomes “sudden”. Kinda like that Russian flag mysteriously appearing over a Crimean government building, and lots of unidentified armed strangers in cammo killing anyone who seemed to resist the implications.
Why is every crisis on God’s green earth the moral and financial responsibility of the USA? Haven’t we given billions and billions in money, goods, military and humanitarian aid over the years as well as take in millions of legal and illegal immigrants here on our soil? Let some other rich countries take up their “fair share” of these burdens for a change.
