Gay couples want Kentucky clerk to reissue mirage licenses

Gay couples in Kentucky are questioning the validity of altered marriage licenses issued by a defiant county clerk and have asked a federal judge to order her to reissue the licenses or put the office in receivership and have someone else do it.

Of course she’s the only clerk who can possibly sign their license. Otherwise they’d have to drive 15-20 miles down the highway to the next county. Such hardship and oppression.

The judge saw no problem with the licenses.

Actually, the judge DID see problems with the licenses.

He just said that the risk of them being invalid would be borne by the couples. It was their choice if they wanted to accept that risk.

The couples then made the choice to seek and accept the licenses. And therefore the explicitly stated risk that went along with them.

My understanding is that the modified licenses are being used for ALL couples who seek them, homosexual and/or heterosexual.

So the "humiliation and stigma" argument doesn't fly, because there's no separate but equal like scenario. The homosexual couples aren't getting different licenses.

They DO have a valid point about the licenses themselves being in violation of KY state law. Which is what this was all about to begin with. And the Federal Judge even pointed that out and told them that the risk of accepting an invalid license was theirs.

This is starting to become amusing, in that the ACLU and the couples are completely getting played and outmaneuvered by what they almost certainly see as a cretin/redneck local official backed by a cretin/redneck legal defense organization. Heck, we were talking about the modified licenses being invalid, here on FR, within minutes of the judge's ruling. We're now a couple weeks down the road and the ACLU/couple are only now crying "Wait, no fair!"

As I am sure you know, marriage was never what they were after in the first place. They want to publicly defeat and humiliate Kim Davis. These are not sane, normal human beings.

I have done a great deal of reading lately about the experiences of adult children who were raised by homosexuals. Some of them tell of a single minded obsession the homosexuals who raised them have and the desire to win at all costs. They plot and plan their attacks and counterattacks. They don’t understand happiness. They only understand degrees of misery and they want to make sure that anyone who opposes them suffers more than they do.

It is important to understand the psychological makeup of that type of homosexual because that is the faction that is attempting to shipwreck our society. They are only a percentage of what is already a tiny minority of the population at large, but they are capable of unimaginable destruction. Until we can call their illness what it is, we will not be able to wall them off and halt the rampage.

I personally think that if the Feds want to issue queer marriage licenses, then just have the Federal judges do it. They are all over staffed and have entirely too much time on their hands. They could then issue queer licenses, two queers and a consenting animal licenses, three queers and a consenting 10 year old child licenses, etc. The possibilities are endless and only limited by their perverted minds.
