All you have to do is travel in Asia a little to realize that that part of the world now sees the U.S. as a country in economic and social collapse. China in particular views the U.S. as a joke.

“Homelessness” is more a product of untreated mental illness than poverty. This population has a variety of psychoses. Many of them will not live under a roof until extreme weather forces them inside. To treat them would be costly and labor intensive. It would involve diagnosing and classifying individuals and then trying to persuade them to live in a group home or at least visit an outpatient clinic for medication. They can’t just be rounded up and treated because the courts generally prohibit it.

I live in Los Angeles. Most of the beggars I see on the streets are white males who speak English with American accents. I’m guessing they lost their jobs to illegals, affirmative action, outsourcing, or other liberal villainy.
