Here's what I posted 5 days ago:

Russia will built a significant Middle East forward operating base, inclusive of a warm port for the first time in history. Assad is in deep trouble and will basically promise Russia whatever they want to assist in propping him up.

Russia will get all it wants and will become a major power in the Middle East all a result of the weakness and power vacuum left by the feckless Obama administration.

Russia is walking all over Obama and will develop a significant military presence, with significant hard assets, in the Middle East.

In my opinion, this is going to change many equations and perhaps the balance of power for many decades to come.

The White House should consult with FreeRepublic so they can figure out what is going on.

What makes you think this was not the intent of the 0bama regime all-along?

Exactly! And well stated. Problem getting this across to some of us is that we have a group of pro-Russia, pro-Putin, trolls on the site throwing out BS to confuse and mislead people. Why they are allowed to remain here doing this I cannot begin to understand.

The Kremlin’s Troll Army: Moscow is financing legions of pro-Russia Internet commenters:

A June article by Max Seddon of BuzzFeed reported the Kremlin was spending millions of dollars to pay English-speaking Russians to promote President Vladimir Putin and his policies in U.S. media like Fox News broadcasting and The Huffington Post and Politico news sites. Trolls are reportedly expected to manage multiple fake accounts and post on news articles 50 times a day, often with sentiments as simplistic as “Putin makes Obama look stupid and weak!”

They do this only in an attempt to win the trust of anti-Obama folks -- a clever/sneaky way to add credibility to their pro-Russia, pro-Putin BS.
Yet it seems to work on some of us! In reality, Obama is the best thing that has happened to Russia in a long time.

Kremlin pays internet trolls to flatter Putin
Ben Hoyle - Moscow
October 11 2013

Russian investigative journalists and bloggers have uncovered an army of internet trolls paid to pour invective on the Kremlin’s opponents and heap praise on President Putin.

Posing as job applicants, the reporters discovered the government hacks working at a small company called the St Petersburg Internet Research Agency. ...”

Russia, having a strong military presence and a warm port in Syria will be highly stabilizing. The Ruskies will put down ISIS first in Syria, then at its roots across the ME.

Good news - the Russian, a generally predictable and accountable force will stabilize the region.
