I didn't say sell all the buildings. I said sell some of the billions of dollars worth of art in the basement of the Vatican.

No one suggested to sell the hospitals. The Vatican owns hospitals? Well good for them, put some of the poor and downtrodden there and a couple of thousand in the Vatican mansion. The pope doesn't live there, so should be plenty of room.

There are millions of poverty stricken Catholics that tithe, use some of that money to help the poor.

The "Vatican Mansion" houses many offices and some officials already so where would you put everybody? The Papal Apartment has a couple of bedrooms, an office, a Chapel and sitting room and a dining room.

Yes, from Apostolic times, the Church has cared for the sick and dying and therefore many Orders run hospitals.

The artwork which men have created to give glory to God belongs to all of us. Would you have it sold and the collection broken up amongst wealthy pagans? In the Vatican Museums they may be enjoyed by all visitors.
