Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio said that Planned Parenthood has created “an incentive for people to be pushed into abortions so that those tissues can be harvested and sold for a profit” during a Monday interview with the Des Moines, Iowa CBS affiliate.
RUBIO: Now what you’ve done is you’ve created an industry—now what you’ve done is you’ve created an incentive for people to be pushed into abortions so that those tissues can be harvested and sold for a profit… If you go to one of these centers young women are provided very few options. In many places they’re not told anything about, for example, adoption services that might be available to them. In essence, you come in and it’s already predetermined. This is the direction—this is what this place does. It provides abortions, and we are going to channel you in that direction.

The abortion sales pitch begins long before a young woman ever enters a clinic, long before she ever has an “unwanted” pregnancy. Planned Parenthood salespersons go into high schools with their spiels. If they are using the same kind of spiel that they did when I was in high school, their whole pitch is based on 1) contraceptives are extremely dangerous and can kill the user, 2) contraceptives are so unreliable that they aren’t worth using, and 3) abortion is perfectly safe and even has health benefits.
I’ve heard, but have not seen verified, that Planned Parenthood purposely gives out defective contraceptives, so as to increase the chance of pregnancy among young women who actually do intend to be responsible. Then they pressure them into abortion, even when that is not what they want.
Wow, I have never heard about them screwing with birth control. That is easy enough to find out, Center for Medical progress just have young women go in and get birth control then send them to the lab.
They push the “low dose” pills supposedly to reduce side effects, but it also reduces efficacy, leading to a greater chance of unexpected pregnancy and more sales of abortions.
Rush reported several years ago that some group (possibly PP, but I’m not sure) was handing out faulty condoms. That would also help sell abortion.
I remember that.
