I do agree with Walker that Republicans need to “clear the field” so that we can have a “positive conservative alternative to the current front-runner”.
That’s why I think the others should drop out, just as he says, so that we can offer Trump as a “positive CONSERVATIVE alternative” to the current front-runner (i.e., Hillary).
Trump is not a conservative - he is a populist that holds a number of conservative positions, along with a number of liberal positions (class warfare, tax the rich, single-payer health care, etc.). I know a lot of people are willing to overlook his liberal positions, or will even try to argue that they really are conservative positions, because they agree with him on immigration, etc. And if you support him in spite of those liberal positions, fine, but be honest about it. But don't try to make him into a principled conservative, implying that he is conservative across the board. It just isn't true.
Even with a new ticker, I didn't know Dick Cheney was interested in running with Palin.. ;-)
Sad to see him go in a way, but not Perry. Our so called vaulted field ain't so vaulted. It is way beyond time for Graham, Santorum, the Huckmyster, Bobby Backala ( Christie ) , and Jindal to exit stage right. Carlie, Coulter was on Howie Carr today with not so kids words too say. IMHO we are down to Trump, Cruz, Carson...

My thoughts, exactly, when I first heard Walker’s statement.
I thought, Smart man!
Then, when he went all ¡Jeb! Bush-style GOPee/RINO, I realized he was doubling down on foolishness.
