CORRECTION:
Since Islam is both a POLITICAL philosophy and a religion, I can make a case that a muslim should not be accepted as a candidate. I don't think they can take the oath with WITHOUT mental evasion.

I see your point, but I don’t think the framers of the Constitution intended mind-reading as an element when they proscribed a religious test.
