NBC Poll: Trump More Popular Than Ever

In the wake of the latest televised Republican presidential debate, New York businessman Donald Trump has more support than ever for the GOP's 2016 presidential nomination, according to an NBC/Survey Monkey Poll released Sunday. According to the survey, Trump has the support of 29 percent of Republicans, up from 22 percent in July and August.

Other contenders for the nomination are far behind Trump, according to NBC. Maryland pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson is second with 14 percent. Carson has gained steadily in NBC polls, registering 7 percent in April, 8 percent in July, and 10 percent in August.

Carly Fiorina, who finished second in a CNN poll released earlier Sunday, finishes third in NBC's poll with 11 percent support. NBC's statistics show a steady movement upward for Fiorina, who registered 2 percent support in July, and 8 percent in August. Fiorina appears to be the candidate who irritates Trump most. On Sunday, Trump tweeted that "Carly Fiorina did such a horrible job at Lucent and HP, virtually destroying both companies, that she never got another CEO job offer."

“Carly Fiorina did such a horrible job at Lucent and HP, virtually destroying both companies, that she never got another CEO job offer.”.......

Precisely why she should never be given the leadership of this country. Odumbo has been trying to run us into the ground, why give his efforts a boost by electing Fiorina who could complete the job?

“The Carly FioRINO presidential campaign is an illusion. Once they have replaced Trump with FioRINO, her money and support is going to dry up and in walks Jeb.”

That certainly is the plan. I’m sure she knows it, and her ultimate goal is to get some high-level post with Jeb/Rubio/Walker (although Walker is now down in Jim Gilmore territory).

Then, maybe, some time in the future, she makes a serious run for the White House. Right now, she’s just putting in her time and doing the grunt work to get that opportunity.

“The media clearly declared Carly Fiorina the winner of the last debate.”...........

The media will do and say anything and/or promote anyone to overtake Trump. For a long while it was Jeb Bush, now its Fiorina’s turn in the media’s spotlight. Who will be next as they scramble to pick someone, anyone to beat down Trump, their sworn enemy?

Trump knows what most FReepers don’t. That is, there are fanatics measured in the hundreds of thousands (perhaps tens of thousands) and real muslims measured in the hundreds of millions

Jeb is toast, even worse he's milquetoast.

He's always been a bad candidate, particularly right now. It would take a miraculous make over that not even the GOPe can do.

Fiorina is her very own problem, but I think she's in it for the veep spot, hoping secretly that she's going to have Hillary at the top of the Rat ticket.

Trump's twin statements after the so called "muslim questioner" at his rally have only strengthened his cause.

Saying that this administration was warring against Christians, and now his statement about Swedes not hitting the twin towers.

Wow, the guy has got cajones.

And political/media smarts.

Remember how nobody liked Romney and how he managed to weasel his way into the nomination anyways? People underestimate the Bush political machine. This will be a long process. There’s plenty of time for that machine to exert its power and influence.

Ha Ha! The MSM, the Dems, and the GOPe just don’t get it. In trying to strike him down, they only make him stronger.

Then that would give you a great chance to receive Trump’s endorsement. Congrats!

I agree The Establishment is very powerful, but we had a crappy field running in 2012. Just Trump and Cruz alone makes this field much better. Cain and Perry looked good initially in 2012, but neither had been following politics long enough to effectively run for the top job and it showed. Trump’s 27 year old clip from Oprah showed he was as much on his game then as now, which is why he hasn’t faded a bit.

Perhaps you should finish the rest of that sentence rather than editing it to satisfy your hatred. Seems the establishmedia is not saying what you are.

So what if he has Mooselimb friends and business associates he likes?

And from several of her past speeches, she would also complete the capitulation of our Nation to Shariah law. No, thanks.

Not only that, but Jeb Bush is very disconcerted as well.

What a great term. Perfectly descriptive. I’m adding it to my vocabulary.

Not sure if Carly got fed questions ahead of time but her answers definitely came across as scripted and rehearsed. Still I’d rather have her than an establishment politician. I just don’t see her faring well in a general election so I hope it is still Trump or Carson.

No matter how you slice the polls, it is clear Republicans want a non politician this go around. I am one of them. So sick of career politicians. You vote them in and they do nothing. Time for somebody from the outside.

I like Cruz but he’s only 44. He will get more opportunities. We really need somebody from outside the Beltway elite to shake things up.

Part of the reason he is so hated by the neutered.

I agree with your warning, but on election day they will find they have an incredible machine with precious few people willing to ride it.
