This assumes Nigeria's current population growth rate will remain unchanged, which is a bad - make that terrible - assumption.

Nigeria’s population is 50% Muslim. So sometime in the next couple of decades it may drop by 50% as the Muslims kill the non-Muslims (some might escape to other countries but it would have the same impact on the population of Nigeria).

Have you ever been to China? Or India? I have.As a result I know that things don't always work out as you've described.

Are you saying that populations of China and India don't produce enough things that can be traded for food?

What I'm saying is that either the individuals of the population produce enough to earn their daily bread, or they get charity from those who produce in excess of their needs and are willing to give some of that up for the poor, or the insufficiently-productive starve.
