I don’t have a problem with it. Our emission standards are so much higher than Europe’s because of the CA emission standards. Just another way the EPA limits our lives.
I wanted a diesel Subaru, but I cannot get it in the States because it only meets Euro standards, which quite frankly are good enough for me. As long as I live on a globe with China, Russia and many other polluting counties I do not want to be hampered with over zealous leftist bruhaa
I hear you. NOx is not much of a problem outside of Los Angeles, but it certainly is in Los Angeles. Seems that prohibiting the highly-polluting vehicle in Los Angeles could make some sense.
The bigger problem when this crap happens is that the regulators can go to other companies that are having trouble complying and essentially say: “Well VW can do it, what’s your problem?”. Say what you will about the standards, but at a minimum they have to be enforced equally on all players.
