A Texas high school student was punished with in-school suspension last Monday after a teacher discovered he was wearing an American flag T-shirt, FOX 4 reported.
The student, a junior whose name is Jaegur, was wearing the shirt -- which featured an American flag design with an eagle in the foreground -- at Seagoville High School in Dallas when an administrator determined the shirt violated the school dress code.
Jaegurs mom, Shelly Goode, fears the suspension will show up as a permanent mark on his record, ruining any chance her son can earn a scholarship through the ROTC program.
He wants to go into the military, Goode said, according to FOX 4. He wants to help people, and any bad marks doesn't look good.

He should have just brought in a bomb instead.
And would have been invited to the White Hut if he did!
He should have said “It’s a clock.”
I’m just wondering if school policy forbids wearing clothing with any type of emblems on them? I’m not defending the school - just wondering.
If he wore a homosexual themed rainbow flag on a shirt that would have been OK.
I wonder if this young man will be invited to the White House..I wonder if CNN and MSNBC will be outraged by this kid’s suspension..hey look at that I made a funny..if only he were Muslim and made a wannabe bomb, then he would get a street named after him
I expect this kind of crap in California, not Texas.
From the article:
” At Seagoville High School, students must wear a solid color shirt; there are exceptions for school or college logo shirts or ones supporting the U.S. military, FOX 4 reported.
The school principal, who was not on campus the day of the T-shirt incident, said the administrator misinterpreted the dress code, and apologized to Goode via phone call on Tuesday.”
Poor kid.
This is good: we WANT our enemies in our communities IDing themselves.
And I’m sure the admin jerk will be getting thousands of emails, and his identity distributed.
I hadn’t heard the follow up to the story...thanks.
From what I saw on the news...he had another shirt OVER the flag shirt. Not that that should make a dang bit of difference.
I remember when my kids were in school and high school here in the early 80, they were not allowed to wear T-shirts with beer or booze logos.
Sounds like she was gunning for a fight.
Suspended for being patriotic? Not sure that's going to hurt him with the ROTC.
So when is this kid visiting the White House? :)
Oh you can bet on it, and the teacher would have probably given him a compliment and asked where he got the shirt from.
