With Trumps solid stand on gun rights I’d say he has it pretty much sewn up, of course I’m wrong about half the time!

Pretty much as I expected. With Trump NOT making any significant mistakes during or immediately after the debate, he held his ground.
Carla was, to most Republicans that are not news junkies, a new face that might be able to give The Wildebeest a tougher fight than any man could (obviously not true, but I’m not talking about what us FReepers understand). So she had a post-debate bump - similar to a post-convention bump, and now it’s settling back as people get to know her better.
Carson was never up to the job of taking on Trump, and the elites knew that from the outset, hence their need to team up with the media to get Carla into the adult debate. And Carson has barely been in the news since.
Since Trump held his ground, he doesn’t slip. Carla takes points from Carson, and Trump’s lead over the rest of the pack actually increases due to that, as we see here.
So what next. Carla, like Carson, was also a Hail Mary for The Establishment...she was there to try to get Trump to say something really Anti-Woman and he didn’t take the bait (perhaps because he’s not anti-woman, although I doubt they considered that).
They know Carla doesn’t have a prayer as there is no way she can run away from her past business performance as well as many of the political positions she campaigned on in California, so now we’re seeing the END GAME from The Establishment just starting. They are talking about Mitt Romney, not as a Republican, but as THIRD PARTY. The hope of The Establishment now is to simply keep Trump out of the White House and let the Democrat win in 2016, not because Trump’s a horrible guy (like David Duke, for example), but because they cannot control him.
That is what has become of today’s REPUBLICAN PARTY.
If Fiorina is a RINO, what does that make Trump? I would suggest you take a hard look at his political record.
