More than a third of Republican voters say that Carly Fiorina performed best in the Wednesday night debate on CNN. But debate performances don't translate into vote preference overnight, and Donald Trump maintains his position at the top of the Republican pack, according to the latest NBC News online survey conducted by SurveyMonkey from Wednesday through Friday.
Debates alone rarely move poll numbers in big ways, and Trump continues to lead the crowded field with 29 percent of Republican and independent voters who lean Republican saying they would cast their vote for him. Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina remain on an upward trajectory, now filling in the second and third spots. Jeb Bush is holding steady at 8%, about the same level of support he's seen since April in NBC News/SurveyMonkey polling. During that same period, Scott Walker has seen his support shrink from 12% to just 3% in our latest poll.
However, nearly a third of Republican voters now say that they expect Donald Trump will be the eventual nominee. When we first asked the question back in April, Trump and Fiorina had not yet announced their candidacies, and Scott Walker was leading the field. Back then, 24% thought Jeb Bush would be the eventual nominee. More than 1 in 5 currently say they don't know who will win, showing that there's still plenty of time for candidates to rise and fall during the next few months, as voters start to make up their minds.

You left out that we got no wall, even though the Permanent Political Class promised us one and, iirc, even funded it. In fact, the border has never been so insecure.
And guess what? It’s for a reason/s.
First, the GOPe runs the Cheap Labor Express, and therefore will not secure the border EVER.
Second, the Dems want a permanent majority of voters, and importing a never-ending stream of lifetime Dem voters will ensure that.
But it’s *Trump* who is playing us???
That last line should read, ‘But some say it is Trump who is playing us.’
Pretty much as I expected. With Trump NOT making any significant mistakes during or immediately after the debate, he held his ground.
Carla was, to most Republicans that are not news junkies, a new face that might be able to give The Wildebeest a tougher fight than any man could (obviously not true, but I’m not talking about what us FReepers understand). So she had a post-debate bump - similar to a post-convention bump, and now it’s settling back as people get to know her better.
Carson was never up to the job of taking on Trump, and the elites knew that from the outset, hence their need to team up with the media to get Carla into the adult debate. And Carson has barely been in the news since.
Since Trump held his ground, he doesn’t slip. Carla takes points from Carson, and Trump’s lead over the rest of the pack actually increases due to that, as we see here.
So what next. Carla, like Carson, was also a Hail Mary for The Establishment...she was there to try to get Trump to say something really Anti-Woman and he didn’t take the bait (perhaps because he’s not anti-woman, although I doubt they considered that).
They know Carla doesn’t have a prayer as there is no way she can run away from her past business performance as well as many of the political positions she campaigned on in California, so now we’re seeing the END GAME from The Establishment just starting. They are talking about Mitt Romney, not as a Republican, but as THIRD PARTY. The hope of The Establishment now is to simply keep Trump out of the White House and let the Democrat win in 2016, not because Trump’s a horrible guy (like David Duke, for example), but because they cannot control him.
That is what has become of today’s REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Fiorina new RINO flavor of the week. She can’t withstand scrutiny of her record at Lucent and HP and all the videos floating around of her praising Hillary Clinton. Everything but the kitchen sink has been thrown at Trump and he’s is leading by almost double digits. GO TRUMP!

That's a pretty low standard. Actually I wouldn't want Carson in line to be president since I learned he was against going into Afghanistan after 9/11. Anyone who wouldn't use force to go after people who kill 3,000 Americans doesn't belong anywhere near the Oval Office. Iraq was debatable, Afghanistan wasn't. He's disqualified as far as I'm concerned.

He has grown on me but I have enjoyed every second from the start when he made GOPe and the media especially gope media cringe! Oh what fun.
It is always amazing to me when a supposedly highly educated, intelligent, and accomplished person buys into this myth. Muslims have always stolen ideas from the civilizations that they annihilated and then claimed credit for the stolen ideas. Not that there haven't been a few creative individuals...
A good example is the Muslim kid who “invented” the digital clock in a “pencil box” that bore an intentional resemblance to a briefcase bomb. He got in trouble by putting it in countdown mode in his English class. Although he demonstrated some Muslim style creativity that would make any Muslim mom and dad proud, he didn't actually “invent” anything. He took an old radio shack clock, partially disassembled it and fit it in a box to make it look like a bomb. In his video he showed his other “inventions”, a USB hub he removed the plastic cover from and a bunch of other partially disassembled electronic components.
It is amusing to me that Fiorina bought into the Muslim golden age myth. The truth is that Islam has been a parasitic disease on humankind since its inception. The fact that she was one of the first McCain staffers to turn on Sarah Palin, along with her Carly Fiorina Loves Hillary Clinton Youtube video gives her a very short pull date.
Someone should ask Fio-RINO about the Armenian genocides perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire she worships so much, too.
Her ex-husband says she is a sociopathic narcissist with no moral compass who discards anyone who is of no further use to her. It is no wonder she loves Hillary so much. Fortunately, if you don’t count tens of thousands of people whose careers she outsourced, Carly hasn’t amassed the body count that Bill and Hillary have.
