Donald Trump on Saturday responded to a question from CNN about whether Muslims pose a danger to the country, saying: "I love the Muslims. I think they're great people."
The Republican presidential front-runner made the comment after addressing high school students here at their homecoming Saturday night.
During a question-and-answer session with students, Trump was unable to avoid being asked about the latest political controversy dogging his campaign: his decision not to correct a supporter this week who called President Barack Obama a Muslim.
One student told Trump that she considered Muslim-Americans to be an important segment of the country. They asked whether the billionaire businessman would consider putting a Muslim in his Cabinet or on his ticket.
"Oh, absolutely," Trump responded. "No problem with that."

My reading of world history does nothing to allay Sir Winston’s fears.
More than 270,000,000 people have died because at the hands of Islamic fanatics/terrorists/murderers since 622 AD. What more proof do we need that it is an evil, murderous, death cult?
That is now impossible since Obama defeated Romney in 2012.
Lot of these problems we now have are due to Obama getting elected. Too bad many republicans let Obama win by abstaining. Now we will pay the price for centuries to come.

I am sure it will be too late before Americans wake up. Islam grows silently and without symptoms, just like cancer. By the time the symptoms show up, it is usually too late.
You just don’t get it. Trump is pro-life, Touch-back amnesty? Beats the hell out of doing nothing. At least he wants to deport. HIs history with liberals is just that, history.
Trump is our ONLY chance to get establishment and media out of the business of choosing our candidates. If he’s not perfect, I’ll survive. If we don’t take back our electoral process we’re done, plain and simple.
The problem Muslims are all in the middle-east. Almost all radical Muslims are from Middle-East & Pakistan.
There ya go, good comments. The MSM types posting here wanted trump to say he hates all Muslims and would never allow a single one into the U.S. or to serve in our military or government. And the frauds posting here are PO'd because they know full well if he had it would have detonated his campaign on the spot.
Actually, Carson corrected me perfectly today. Trump could/should have answered it that way. I retract my post (gladly - it didn't sit well with me,) and substitute what Carson said today.
And that's exactly what a few here are angry about. What has the lying manipulated MSM/D.C. been saying for 3 months now? "It's only a matter of time until Trump says the wrong thing or uses the wrong word."
Trump might be outspoken and unafraid of PC or speaking out, but he's not stupid. Once one makes blanket statements about any large group of people, they own it. They wanted Trump to detonate. They wanted groveling and apologies. They again failed miserably!☺

Understood. I think Trump has made enough statements about going after the bad islamists, that he should get a pass for that statement.
It still comes down to nobody is stronger on securing our borders than Trump. Nobody is talking about balancing the trade deals other than Trump. I think most don’t even understand trade.
Trump is looking past the nomination to the general election. And the media is doing everything they can to paint him as racist, because he is pulling 25% or more of the black vote.
Well, Muslims are quite well-behaved when it suits them. Show me a majority Muslim country that is open, tolerant, free, and treats women as human beings. I’m sure there are individual Muslims that are nice people, but Islam demands subjugation and is a horrible evil.
