Hello lp. :)
LOL
You forget. It WASNT great until it elected HIM President. Thats when the seas rolled back and people could feel proud of their country.
Meanwhile us d@mned "rednecks" had better turn ourselves inside out or we'll be kicked out of this country.
.....No wonder Americans are flocking to Mr. Trump.
There was a thread last night about actress Emily Blunt bitching about having to take the oath of allegiance whilst (as she might say) being naturalized. In a nutshell, she said she recited it, but didn’t really mean it.
I have read here that many new Americans are being told by immigration officials that they don’t have to recite the oath.

The principles embodied in the Oath are codified in Section 337(a) in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), which provides that all applicants shall take an oath that incorporates the substance of the following:
Support the Constitution;
Renounce and abjure absolutely and entirely all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which the applicant was before a subject or citizen;
Support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
Bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and
A. Bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; or
B. Perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; or
C. Perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law.
The language of the current Oath is found in the Code of Federal Regulations Section 337.1 and is closely based upon the statutory elements in Section 337(a) of the INA.
INA: ACT 337 - OATH OF RENUNCIATION AND ALLEGIANCE
Sec. 337. [8 U.S.C. 1448]
(a) A person who has applied for naturalization shall, in order to be and before being admitted to citizenship, take in a public ceremony before the Attorney General or a court with jurisdiction under section 310(b) an oath
(1) to support the Constitution of the United States;
(2) to renounce and abjure absolutely and entirely all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which the applicant was before a subject or citizen;
(3) to support and defend the Constitution and the laws of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
(4) to bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and
etc.etc.etc.
But all this really isn’t that important, is it? Oaths are just words, like federal (to be ignored) and state statutes (overturned by federal judges) and the Constitution: just a bunch of stuff from dead white guys.
Right?
The law that is whatever the executive branch says it is, since Barry once again is thumbing his nose at federal law and no one will do a damned thing about it.
Is anyone surprised?
Actually, he does, and he is trying to destroy it.
“Diversity” represents the lines along which society will fracture - the more “diversity” the weaker society.
Did the divider in chief also say now that the [ledge can be said but they don’t have to mention God etc?
yea he and a few others come that close second , but for me the extremist divider in chief is the number one.
Disgusting and maddening.
