Sorry i can’t take them seriously... Are they going to stop building it after its forty percent complete? Sounds like they are sending their friends a nice Christmas present of a multi billion dollar contract. I know it’s not because they want to defend this country..
My fears exactly. Weapon Systems acquisition is seriously broken. Everything is too expensive, takes too long, fails to meet full requirements, and ends up being cancelled before actually reaching initial operating capability.
Someone should overhaul how we do acquisitions BEFORE we begin our next humonguous effort.
