You must post your postcards from abroad. Put us wannabe expats on your ping list. Are you going with International Living. I get their daily blasts. I wanted Portugal until the EU fell apart. (Nice article for those who can overlook what is happening now. Previous socialist president is now part of a refugee program for UN, I think. He is salivating over the invaders Portugal will get, like prospective adoptive parents.

Our schedule is up in the air. Hubby got a consulting gig in Panama, but it may or may not be necessary to travel there. Setting up living quarters in Boquete last week, but nothing firm. The major reason is because living in Arizona, we are dying for sweater weather in the highlands.

68° F to 73° yearround with a rainy season

If you go to this developers community on the beach in Nicaragua, I really want to know your impression.

Will do...on the post cards.

We are traveling alone, the two of us, but we do have contacts through International Living in San Juan del Sur, Granada and Matagalpa - and we are spending about 4 days in each area.

And yes, the highlands of Central America are really nice....no need for heat or AC ever....very healthy climate. We tend to be beach bums though, so we’re also looking on the Pacific Coast. Hotter than the highlands, but never need long pants and we love the water, fishing, boating, sunsets.

Panama very nice too, and you can get by in Panama with only English. That’s important to many ex pats.
