TRUMP’S LOCKED AND LOADED
When Donald Trump delivers a speech on national security from the deck of a WWII era battleship on the Los Angeles waterfront today his message to rivals ahead of tomorrow’s debate is clear: If attacked, I’ve got broadsides loaded, ready to fire. Riding a wave of polls, the Republican frontrunner knows his target profile is high and that critics say foreign policy is a chink in his armor. So in typical Trump fashion, he’s none-to-subtly saying, bring it.
The address aboard the USS Iowa before a conservative veterans group – which will reportedly focus on international challenges and veterans’ issues – gives Trump the opportunity to dispel questions over his knowledge of foreign affairs and strengthen his standing with the military community, which took a hit early on in his campaign over dismissive remarks about Sen. John McCain’s service record. Whether Trump, who has said he’d solve veterans’ health care issues by “firing everyone at the VA” will offer policy specifics is unclear.
One thing is clear: while the GOP field seeks to claim the Reagan mantle, Trump’s spectacle will convey an image of strength to a candidate with no military background, just hours before he takes center stage at the former president’s library.

A speech by Trump will be the main attraction for “Make America’s Military Great Again,” a Sept. 15 event aboard the USS Iowa in Los Angeles that’s sponsored by Veterans for a Strong America, a “nonpartisan action organization” that endorsed Trump in July.
The next night, the real estate developer/reality TV star will be part of the second nationally televised GOP debate of the presidential primary season, to be held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.

Is Trump now going for the Asian vote?
What, no Fox news debate?
Trump better have some real Ideas for todays talk. Like, How many ships the USA should build, how many, new division of new soldiers, planes we need. What bases do we need to re-open or expand? Some real Generals and Admirals to advise him—not TV guys. My humble suggestions:
1. We Need fast small Drone Carriers
2. Need rail gun battleships
3. Better high Tech subs (like the UK has)
4. Better Anti- aircraft—drone destroyers to protect things at sea.
5. A Presidental Yacht (armed as well)
6. A full rigged ship for Anapolis and PR for USA.
7. Five new divisions of the army
8. Three for the Marines.
9. two squdrons more of F-22s
10. More new and improved A-10 warthogs.
11. One new Squdron of B-1 Bombers
12. at least 16 air Tankers (even if they are French—but built in the USA by Americans).
What did I leave out—or where am I wrong?
Obama’s Pick Adds Foreign Expertise to Ticket
You left out a new class of ICBMs and SLBMs. We need to replace a lot of old missiles that are no longer as reliable as they once were. Make them with 5-10 MARVs each, all of which are accurate to 5-10 meters (close IS good enough with nukes). The fact of having those weapons, plus the impact on our enemies of them knowing that we are building UP, not down, and pouring significant resources into it as well, will have a large impact on how these jokers behave.
Oh, and maybe we can name the missiles something like the Crusader or the Knight, or something like that to let the Iranians know that we aren’t screwing around any more. Let them froth at the mouth.

He also seems to be surrounded by some very creative staff members. The brief video which used a clip of Barbara Bush saying Jeb shouldn’t run had to cost almost nothing to produce, as well as the one with people at some of Jeb’s town hall gatherings falling asleep just seemed to almost write itself. Both were huge hits. Lots of bang for the buck.
Time of the debate at the Reagan?
I don’t know for sure, but the word around here is if you want to go there, get there early.
