Maybe you’re more attuned to it than I am, but my experience here differs from what you claim.
The only “extra” enmity I have noticed today has been towards Carson. (I confess I have gotten on that bandwagon a time or two.)
And I haven’t seen that many Cruz supporters (of which I am one) bashing Trump. Ideologically, Cruz and Trump are natural allies. I prefer Cruz but if Trump gets the nod I can support him wholeheartedly. I have seen that sentiment expressed over and over here on FR.

What a bunch of losers. This is the middle of September. The primaries are six months away. They will have spent a lot of their money by the end of this year. Trump will not run out of cash because he will have kept his powder dry until it counts.
His (ill advised, imo) signed pledge to the Republican Party was based on fair treatment.
The GOPe is telegraphing loud and clear they want him gone. Period.
Why not go Independent - now. He doesn’t need ‘debates’ anyway. For one thing, nobody actually debates. Second, it’s to make him field ‘gotcha questions’.
I say DT should make his move asap.

Media fools have been dumping on Trump all summer to no effect.
Don’t they realize most people don’t trust Big Media? So if Trump is their enemy, and the media is our enemy, then most people will automatically see Trump as a friend.
IOW, the media attacks not only don’t work, they INCREASE his support!!
And I will almost guarantee you that if Trump wins, there will be no wall and we will still have millions of illegals in 2020. But like the liberals like to say about their guys "His intentions are good."

I seem to be a lightning rod for them, it’s been going on several weeks, and all are available in my posting history.
They ESPECIALLY hate me, and I have never expressed major support for Trump. On threads where others are posting exactly what you have regarding them being natural allies, the haters particularly like to take me on. They flatter me to no end.
Trump really should announce his third party bid and can rightly blame the Republican Party for its ill-treatment of him.
You've obviously never criticized Trump for anything on here. The Trumpettes can be equally vicious. :)
I am still standing strong. I will not buy into the GOPe games. Trump could do a strip tease at the debates and he will still get my vote.
The GOPe needs to be demolished.
You are correct, this is all the prelude to the debate. I think that they are hoping for a major takedown tomorrow evening on CN&N!!
