Per Twitter, Hungary just declared a national emergency, and ordered 9,000 Army troops to deploy to the border areas, immediately.
Hungary has an old history of invasions by the, then, Ottoman Empire. They remember.
The EU isn’t a country. The way it’s set up is like the Articles of Confederation. The forces pulling it apart are greater than the ones holding it together.
