Jerry Falwell, Sr., and Cal Thomas spent years trying to convert EMK to sanity, but the MA liberal was unrepentant to the end. Maybe Jerry, Jr., is trying to bring Sanders to the Bible. A hopeless task perhaps, but he is trying.

It does sound like Liberty could be on the verge of losing its own mission without the senior Falwell there to guide the students. Just like NC went dark without Jesse Helms

Thanks for the link. There sure was applause but those were just kids and as we all know kids are 99% liberal.
Wasn’t it Churchill who said, “if you are under 30 and aren’t liberal you have no heart and if you are over 30 and are not Conservative you have no brain”?

Generally, that’s true, but Liberty students are known for being conservative. At election time, they’re very active in helping to get out the conservative vote.
So either it’s as pgkdan said-—Sanders’ nutcase fans showed up from elsewhere-—or there’s some truth to the polls which claim gay marriage is becoming increasingly acceptable among evangelicals.
