This is a good day for someone who was wait-listed at the community college. DeBrandon won’t be taking his seat.

which is more correct home invasion or attempted burglary?
invasion should be restricted to forceful entry through a doorway

I’m sure it looks very classy on his toe tag in the morgue and that everyone working there in the Medical Examiner’s office is wondering who the new guy is.

Thankfully they didn’t mention race in the story. LOL.

The article says he was 22 when killed and that the earlier burglary was “almost precisely” two years ago; so either he was 20 then or this happened both times very close to his birthday. You’d think a guy could find something better to do on his birthday...

He saw himself as Romeo and she was his Juliet. But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
But, soft! That's no sun, it's muzzle flash!

Is that a requirement? I thought just knowing he wouldn’t be breeding in the future was good enough for entry.

He was shot at close range in the chest by the home owner ... Authorities confirm that even after the bullet struck his chest, he managed to escape back out through the second story and run three blocks before dying. Couple of questions. What caliber was she using? You'd think a hit in the chest (center mass) would've prevented a climb out of a 2nd story window and a 3 block run...
Also, why only one shot? If I decided to use deadly force "at close range" then I am going to use enough force to prevent the threat from being a threat. If they are still capable of climbing and running 3 blocks they are still a threat to me and mine...especially at close range. Once I start shooting, I would continue shooting until the threat is down and unmoving. Maybe a double-tap center mass (high percentage shots) followed up by a head shot. (central nervous system hit - instant stop to any further threat actions)

The newspaper will report that you brutally shot him execution style.
Unfortunately and irrationally, the law says that microsecond he ceases to be an active threat, the microsecond he turns away or falls down, he is no longer a threat, and anything you do to him beyond that point is unwarranted.
You will be charged, and you will be picketed and have yo stuff destroyed by #BLM renta mobs.
