Anyone who knows who God is knows that He is in control. He doesn’t set fires but He does allow things like this for His purposes. Do I know WHAT His purpose is? No. I don’t need to. God is in control. Always.
When you turn away from God and worship politicians instead, whose policies are bound to hurt you, it is not good for your survival. For example, due to California insane liberal worship and their insane environmental policies, they have no water and they all know, they are already a fire zone.
We've heard this kind of argument regarding Californians too often on FR. Something along the lines that "God sends natural disasters to punish the gays in San Francisco" - but somehow his aim is always off by a hundred miles or so.

Yes, as tragic as it is, God played no part in it. But as others have noted, the moronic “environmentalists” are the proximate cause of this disaster. Years ago, my father owned coin-operated laundries in Calistoga, Middletown and Lakeport. We used to go up there weekly to service them. It is beautiful country and I am truly saddened by what has happened.
