George Will just said Trump is going to destroy the Republican Party.

George, that is what the goal is.. to destroy the GOP establishment. Take them out... remove the stagnation...

They are still not getting Trump’s 30% in the polls..

Did Georgie mention he is a spokesman for Walker and paid indirectly from his campaign?

I don’t know Gritty.

Yesterday choir sang at the 4:30 mass. Father Tom was not doing the mass but nonetheless the parking lot was packed. There is just no way our church, though it’s quite big....can handle these crowds forever.

So as I am coming into church the organist....not the normal guy, our Choir director....but the substitute....what has been begging me to ask Father Tom to my house....I don’t know why but she knows him from another church....so she calls me over to the piano....we are using a piano cause our organ is broke....and she tells me Father Tom told her about our debate “date” this coming Wednesday night....and how he thought he (Father Tom) and me (Pat Fish) are going to get along just great.

Yeah, the whole church knows about this and my mother-in-law, to whom I recount the stories of Father Tom....tells me to be careful....reminding me he IS a priest.

Well HE’s the one going telling everybody how much he likes me and let’s not forget how he challenged me to invite him to my house for dinner when we will discuss the Pope....in front of everybody on the Finance council.

Which I did invite him to my house for the debates though I am scared out of my mind.

All ready there’s discussion of maybe renting a venue to have Father Tom speak because like I say, our church is big but it IS a church. And yes I did mention this little tidbit to Father Tom.....(I have his private cell phone...go to hell...) and hey, he’s human....he’s flattered all to hell how happily MOST of the congregation has received him.

I’m not sure how I fit into all of this of course but hey, I will follow the lead of my Lord and Savior if He has a plan for me.

Most of the Sussex GOP already knows Father Tom as he attended three Delaware Republican conventions. And he knows Chistine O’Donnell....more on this later.

Because people want to hear the truth and people recognize the truth. Father Tom’s homily on the deceit of Islam was one such truth. Imagine if every preacher, from their church bully pulpit, taught about the falsehood of Islam.

To be fair Father Tom spoke of his Muslim friend who faithfully lay down their prayer rugs six times a day and he thinks their prayer is as sincere of any Christian.

I’ll end with a Father Tom joke cause he has a great sense of humor, insert wink here....

Seems a guy enters heaven and is surprised that it is filled with various buildings housing people....so St. Peter takes the new arrival to a tour.

“Over there is the Baptist building,” St. Peter said, pointing to a building filled with dancing people. “Seems they couldn’t dance on earth so they dance around the clock up here.”

They pass another building with smoke floating around it like clouds. “That’s the Methodist building. They couldn’t smoke on earth so they do it here, with no fear of lung cancer,” St. Peter explained.

Then they passed another building that was all quiet and solemn. The new arrival raised his eyebrows as in a physical question mark.

St. Peter smiled. “That’s the Catholic building. Be very quiet,” St. Peter instructed, holding finger to shushed lips.

“They think they’re the only ones up here.”

Heh.

Yep IP...I really think Cruz is running a good campaign. With his low profile he still has us out here in la-la land.

Father Tom likes Ted Cruz, by the way, and he also really likes Ben Carson.

Will let you all know next week’s thread how the debate went, wish me luck because I am very, very nervous.

Maybe Georgie should have another dinner party with Obama and invite all the conservative writers again. That should shore up the Republican Party.

Cruz is drafting off of Trump for now.

Yes he is. And I don't think it's a bad strategy at all.

He lets Trump do all the snark and he keeps mum about Trump. I have a bit of a small hope, but still thinking about it, of a Cruz/Trump ticket.

But still not sure.

We'll see how they do at the debates.

Which I will be viewing with Father Tom at my house, did I tell you?

;)

Primary-I’m supporting Cruz too, Trump donating to Harry Reid spoils him to me, but I do enjoy Trump’s calling out stupid and the poor decisions being made, but wish he would start naming names, if he is going to call names. General election I could support any Republican over every Democrat.

As for scandals, whether it be Hillary Clinton in the lead up to Benghazi or the IRS’s Louis Lerner using tax code to go after Republican supporters, it’s the micro-managing that’s getting them into trouble, barring Hillary Clinton’s email problem, which she probably thought it would never matter being she had a do-nothing job which would be micro-managed anyhow.

I want to see Bernie Sanders but the show don’t start here till later. Really funny cause it’s being perceived Democrat’s have waited too long to come up with someone better, but there’s no one better suited than a Bernie Sanders to represent the Democratic Party.

Fox has become unwatchable unless you want to be made fun of. You just are not sophisticated enough to understand how DC works. Maybe Kasich was a perfect choice.

Okay, watching Fox News Sunday, and am I to understand that John Kasich is now up high in the polls?

Kasich waffles about the Iran treaty and does NOT want to shut down the gubmint...”Gotta be careful shutting down the gubmint”....Man if they handles their public relations right shutting down the gubmint isn’t the horror the GOP thinks it is. They scared that the media might talk bad about them.

Personally, I do not think Trump can be stopped now. And, all the way to the White House.

Who knows, people may regret it later, but we won’t know how Trump will govern until he’s in office.

I’m saying this not as a Trump supporter or opponent, but as I see the momentum that is shaping up to be the campaign of 2016. The anti-incumbent/anti-politician thinking that so many people have this election is a very, very strong phenomenon and don’t think that’s likely to change—in fact, as more people pay attention, it will only grow stronger. It’s almost like the anti-Watergate era that gave us Jimmy Carter (ugh!).

Looking back on the 2008 election, it now appears to me that Bush had poisoned the well for any Republican. McCain had no chance. Stupid people thought voting for Obama would make them hip and cool to support a black man, and the media did its job by not getting into his details so people knew little more about him except he was a well spoken black man. Bill Clinton screwed up Hillary’s campaign with his screed after South Carolina, when he made remarks that the press jumped on to say the Clinton campaign was racist, and this propelled Obama further. The press pumped up McCain as an liberal Republican (The Maverick) but when it was Obama versus McCain in the Fall, McCain became a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal conservative, and picking Sarah Palin proved it to the low information voters who absolutely believe to this day that Sarah said she “could see Russia from my house!”

Trump is impervious to this driveby smear campaign. As they attack him on his faux pas, his support actually GROWS in the polls!

Why?

People—say the electorate in general, always fight the last war.

So, Carter ran as the anti-Nixon outsider, Reagan ran as the anti-Jimmy Carter “I love everyone naiveness”, Bush beat Dukakis by framing him as a Jimmy Carter-like moron, Clinton beat Bush because (Ross Perot) Clinton was seen as a Southern, not north-east bleeding heart “New” democrat. Gore almost won against Bush 2 using the Bush 1 versus Dukakis campaign tactic of 1988, but fell just short, as Gore was a horrible campaigner and debater. Obama won because people were tired of Bush, the war in Iraq, which the media spent 2003-2008 telling everyone that it was a failure, a morass we had slipped into with no way out, and Bush NEVER defended himself nor fought back. The bottom line is the pendulum really swings from one cycle to the next.

Now what do the voters have in the forefront of their minds?

Obama over reaches. Obamacare. ISIS on the rise. And remember Bill Clinton and “It’s the economy, stupid!”? Yeah, Trump’s absolutely hooked into that, as millions have lost their jobs, and illegal aliens have been hired in droves.

Trump’s stand on illegal aliens is actually an economic issue that stirs a “F Yeah!” in most voters, whether they admit to it or not. It really is a brilliant move.

The pro-illegal alien, pro-free trade with China, pro-environmentalism/Global Warming, anti-police, pro-political correctness movement noose is being steadily tightened around the democrat/GOPe necks, and the idea that Wall Street and the Chamber of Commerce runs the democrat and Republican party elites in DC is growing, not abating.

This all plays directly into Trumps run. I see it as all but a done deal.

If anyone thinks otherwise, fine, but show me how Trump loses.

Well here’s my real answer:

C. The driveby’s won’t let Cruz on, because he doesn’t fall for their Gotchas, and is articulate, smart, and shows them to be the liberal fools and democrat party organs they are.

Now, do I win?

George Will doesn’t get it. Trump is trying to SAVE the Republican Party from the elite who have been destroying our party for years.

The GOPe has failed to listen and act on its members behalf.

I disagree.

The fact is with Sarah Palin, the GOP actually had a lead until RINO-McInsane suspended the campaign and began campaigning on behalf of Comrade obamatollah.

Not coincidentally, this was when the GOP-E attacks on Sarah ramped up. Sarah recognized the GOP-E attacks and went "rogue".

So in summary, Sarah Palin proved a Conservative candidate in 2008 could have won the election...despite the failure of RINO-Bush.
