Mitt Romney, your party needs you!
Boston Globe ^ | Sept 11 2015 | Michael Cohen

THERE IS one man who can save the Republican Party, and his name is Mitt Romney.

Seriously.

Seven years after Romney crashed and burned in the 2008 Republican primary and three years after he beat a weak GOP presidential field before losing to President Obama, he is still the party’s best hope of winning back the White House.

Only Nick knows what Nick’s agenda is.

My agenda is conservatism, and combating leftism, wherever it is.

And I don't trust MSNBC at all. Why do you think I should? You really think MSNBC is accurate?

I Romney was against Trump, like MSNBC claims, he could easily do something tomorrow to hurt Trump.

He could call a press conference and say he endorses Trump 100% in the primary, and extol his virtues for a whole press conference. He could remind everyone how they are good friends and talk a couple times a week. (Trump's own words on that)

That’s some twisted logic, Nicky. If Trump ain’t running, why do you have your panties in a bunch over him 24/7 ? All you gotta do is wait for him to drop out and you can say you were right.

He's damaging the conservative impact for 2016. It may be too late already.

Why do you think that MSNBC is a trustworthy news source? I disagree with you on that.

The party needs Romney like the party needs a hole in the head. This guy is smoking crack.

I’ll bet they talk a couple of times a week after Trump called Willard a loser publicly. Willard only talks to his sycophants and paid flunkies.

Willard only talks to his sycophants and paid flunkies.

Which is exactly the same as Trump. Even when he gets in his pretend feuds on Twitter. Face it, Trump is another Romney, except he's way farther to the left.

He’s damaging it ? You’re hysterical, Nicky. I haven’t seen anyone pump up and reinvigorate the Conservative grassroots by a GOP candidate like Trump has since 1980. Do you not want to win with a winner running on a Conservative platform, Nicky ?

P.S. What’s your obsession with bringing up MSNBC in every post, Nick ? I gave you another link upthread.

Nick, you’re nuts. Trump to the left of Socialist moonbat Willard ? Keep this up and you’re going to destroy yourself. You’re only a few clicks away from being sent on the permanent train to ZOTsville by JimRob.

I didn’t support Obama in 2008, I didn’t support Romney in 2012. I’m not going to support the 2016 version of them.

I think Nick has the same problem I do with trump.

He’s a progressive.

He’s a business magnate along the same lines as a Carnegie or Mellon, or more in keeping with political history, a Rockefeller.

What you like about him is that he can’t be bought, but many pols can’t be bought. Reagan could not be bought..but his richness was his personality and moral center.

What is trumps moral center? What’s to keep him from using his position to further grow his businesses. Is he going to put it all in a Trust?

I don’t think anyone has asked..at least I did not hear.

So.....we are all really angry at Obama and his ilk...What is trump going to do about Obama care. What is trump going to do about executive branch post constitutional over-reach.

I don’t see him giving up any power used by his predecessor..he will use it.

Teddy Trump I will call him for his previous personae in Teddy Roosevelt. The man who led the republican party into the progressive era...

Look at Trump's positions. It's socialism. Not even Romney supported Kelo/Extreme eminent domain/government over private property. Romney created a terrible healthcare plan, but even he didn't want single payer socialized medicine like Trump.http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3307194/posts Romney legalized gay marriage, but even he didn't use his wealth in pro-gay marriage activism and bash Christians. Romney was pro-abortion, but even he didn't say, "I want to take abortion out of the political realm."

Okay, what exactly did I do to deserve that? You believe anyone who doesn't support Trump is evil? Do you believe someone should be banned who doesn't break the rules and makes conservative arguments?

Isn't what you are suggesting a liberal tactic?

I'm just trying to make you see. You support Trump and now you are proclaiming MSNBC. A few years ago MSNBC was considered lower than dirt here. Now, with Trump is here, and MSNBC is a valid source.

Nick is the same person who insisted to me publicly on FR that William Shatner murdered his wife and I should take him at his word.

If Trump is close to Andrew Mellon in his governance, that would be fantastic. Mellon was probably the best Treasury Secretary in the history of the nation, helping to undo the economic damage of the Wilson regime under Presidents Harding & Coolidge.

Note that I am a Cruz supporter and will vote for Cruz in the primary (if he’s still in it), but at present, I have no problem with voting for Trump. When I hear him talk and SEE who he is consulting with on the illegal invasion (Sen. Jeff Sessions) on formulating policy to do something, that earns my 100% support. I’ve been victimized personally by the Clinton-Dubya-Zero DO NOTHING open borders policies, and that $hit has got to end. Now.
