UNITED NATIONS The Obama administrations immigration policy should come into clearer focus when world leaders gather at the United Nations later this month for the General Assembly.
U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon will convene a special meeting on the refugee crisis, and the outcome will provide a roadmap for U.S. policy.
The Obama administration has been adopting U.N. guidance on immigration, such as the U.N.s recommendation to move away from the detention of all migrants particularly unaccompanied minors, and families with children. Aim to eradicate the detention of children completely Age verification is not a justification for detention.
While the United Nations officially differentiates between war refugees and what it calls economic migrants, or those seeking jobs in the developed world, its response to the current crisis in Europe has blurred the distinction.
In the lexicon of the U.N., migrants is the favored term for people crossing borders. Migrants, rather than refugees or immigrants is how the corporate media describes those flooding into Europe from the Middle East and North Africa.
And according to the U.N. view, migration should be encouraged, not stopped.
Migration is a long-standing part of the human condition and, in the globalized and conflict-ridden world in which we live, it is inevitable, declares a June 15 report on the refugee crisis in Europe by François Crépeau, United Nations special rapporteur on the human rights of migrants. Migration is here to stay.
The report goes on to say building fences will not stop migrants from coming, and recommends against even trying to stop them because democratic borders are porous by nature.
Instead of fences and walls, governments should construct legal and safe mobility solutions and migration policies that facilitate mobility and celebrate diversity,

In the words of the U.N., "All your sovereignty and freedom are belong to us."
Couldn’t agree more. And the move of Obama to supersede our laws with that of the U.N. is still the move of a traitor.
No place in our Constitution does it abdicate self-rule, to another nation, or a world body.
Wouldn’t you love to see John Bolton with another run at UN Ambassador?
This time having a President with balls standing in his corner.
What I would love to see is Obama impeached and convicted before he completes his destruction of America.
Well that falls into my category of wishing I could be 25 again, and go out with Ronda Rousey.
I guess we can all dream!
the day after Obama is deposed and overthrown , the U.N. , and all of it’s myriad minions , should be invited to immediately self-deport , branding them an anti-American subversive , pro-terrorist organization .
Geneve : get ready ....
****U.N. to hand out marching orders on immigration****
U.N. to hand out marching orders on troop movements
why are we waiting ?
The free movement of people, goods and capital is necessary for true free markets and free trade. People who pretend otherwise are either dishonest or ignorant. If they won't add the free movement of people to their free market and free trade babble, then they need to stop pretending they support free markets and free trade on an international basis.
But there are plenty whose goal is absolutely open borders worldwide. Of course, the movement of people would be about 99% from poor nations to affluent nations.
Those who've supported NAFTA and other past free trade agreements have be, wittingly or unwittingly, supporters of open borders and the loss of sovereignty.
Apparently because our entire government is moving in lockstep with the tyrant bastard.
Someone created a plan, and it is being executed right before our eyes.
And I am not sure that there is any recourse to it at all outside of something I can’t even post or say out loud to anyone.
There is bad s*** goin’ down in this world.
This particular bag of bad s*** has been at it since March '04.

That's the office of the high commissioner's website.
In charge of Committee on Migrant Workers
Their message ...
Lastly, the Committee calls on States to recognize the economic and social contributions of migrants and to dispel stereotypes and myths, as well as combat xenophobia and racism against this very vulnerable group of human beings.
Europeans once fled war and famine and sought opportunities elsewhere. The countries that took these migrants in were enriched by their contributions. Given this background, European and other countries should open their arms and not turn their backs. Inaction will only lead to more lives being lost, stated the Chair.
Yes.
This is truly some lunatic mastermind James Bond Villain scheming, and the UN is an electromagnet for such people.
I was shocked when I heard that Merkel said Germany was going to taken 800k invaders this year and 500k each year in coming years, and this will hopefully change their country.
It will definitely change their country, and not for the better.
I would be furious if I lived in Deutschland.
The plan is to change the world, and islam is the tool.
The U.S. needs to let the other U.N. countries who support the migration of the Syrian’s take them into their country. The U.S. already has more than enough muslimes here.
Then I suggest that the UN show the way by making Somalia diverse. It has over 2000 miles of coastline astride one of the world's busiest shipping lanes with a climate like California and a population density like Colorado.
What better place to test these cockamamie theories?
Get rid of that recently upgraded wrought iron fence around the White House.....AND...... Capitol Hill/The Senate/The House get rid of the massive Capitol Police force
Interesting- no UN interest in ending conflicts just an interest in ensuring the conflicts continue so they can reap wave after wave of “refugees” and funnel them into countries whose people and traditions the UN sees as obstacles to its agenda.
