My beloved agent, Jeff, was in NYC sitting shiva for his step dad, staying at the WTC Marriot.

He was on e of the dust-covered folks running fromn the collapse.

Hard to believe I'll be teaching students who weren't born yet when this happened. I knew the day had to come, but it's still weird.

On that morning MrD and I were in our usual place, our bed drinking coffee and watching the morning news.

All of a sudden we were looking at the tall NY building with smoke pouring out of it..........when the second plane came into view and while we watched in disbelief it slammed into the second building!

I was numb and NO I will never forget!

Here is a video that is a "must watch" for me every year. It's horrifying in its simplicity, being a home video taken by a woman who lived very close to the WTC.

9-11-2001 was an event that drew Americans together in strong unity against a common enemy.

We now have an American Regime which is dividing Americans and who is siding with this same enemy, and he was elected TWICE!

Jeff had been a foster kid in FL during the worst years of “human services” in Florida.He remembers being dumped at a group home, clutching his meager belongings, being able to smell the stench of urine all the way out to the sidewalk. He learned to play drum,s from listening to one Iron Maiden album over and over and matching his sticks to Nicko McBrain. I became acquainted with Nicko and gave Jeff a pair of drumsticks, along with some autographed memorabilia, which he keeps on his desk to this day. He has been my friend since 1999; and it’s the longest I have ever worked for anybody in my whole life because I am a total rebel and can’t get along with bosses.
