Hey bubba the MD is a cultural divide nowadays and should not be taken as a literal geographical line. South/Central/Western Michigan is hillbilly/briar/redneck central casting except for the liberal cities of course. And I say that affectionately, having cousins that extend from eastern KY to Jackson MI.

The auto and steel companies literally sent buses to Appalachia to pick up workers. Thankfully my branch didn’t get back on the bus when it stopped on the other side of the Ohio but before Toledo.

Well, Bubba, my point was that the south has been stereotyped as an incestuous, cousin breeding, "Deliverance" type people and this is how the southern people are to be viewed by northerners, Californians, and elitists. But this happened in Michigan, not the south.

Perhaps my post in #38 did not make that clear. Even assholes like you and me use the name 'bubba' to derogate another. So, Bubba, maybe we could lighten up a little.
