Very good point. Most of us can be suckers for talking points and sensational headlines especially on a forum such as Free Republic.I always try to verify information and its source.

If Trump doesn't perceive the threat from infiltrators from ISIS, he'd better get out of the way and go back to running casinos - and I have been a big supporter of his.
It's not just "illegals" that threaten our way of life.
It's about borders, language, and culture. Muslims and Sharia simply don't mix with America and the Constitution. It will end in nothing but big trouble and bloodshed.

Correct!!! You actually thought this through. I saw Trump on TV and all he did was deliver a few nice throwaway lines on allowing in Syrian refugees. Actually many are sub-Saharan blacks. Others are from Iraq, Afghanistan even Iran. They all want to live in Germany and the other wealthy EU nations. Greece and Italy are out for them. Not rich enough.
No good way to tell who is a Christian and who is a Muslim, so why take a chance?

Obama has been refusing Christian Syrians. I believe Trump has said earlier that Christian Syrians should be admitted. Jewish Syrians are going to Israel, if there are any left.
I guess because it’s Free Republic I never worried about it before. Over the past ten years it doesn’t seem like it was a real problem, this summer it is. Live and learn I guess.

I think Trump may need to re-think his answer. America should not be responsible for these refugees. This will probably come back to bite him.
I watched it again & I agree that Trump was non-committal - if anything he doesn’t want them here.
