Jonah Goldberg, who is a good conservative thinker and writer, unfortunately has missed some key words re the present GOP.
They do not have “core tenants” or “core principles”, they have “WHORE TENTANTS” and “ WHORE PRINCIPLES”. In other words, they can be bought off, cheaply by Big Business/lobbyists plus they are just plain big-assed COWARDS.
Name one major fight that Boehner or McConnell has led to stop Obamacare, amnesty for illegals, the Iran deal, the Red Line in the Sand for Syria, the Berghdahl treasonous trade, the “Got Nothing” deal with Communist Cuba, the rise of ISIS, the criminal “solar energy” scandals, the lying of Hillary, Lerner and others before Congress, etc., etc., etc.

I love it. Trump supporters always point to Jeb or Graham when claiming that the alternative to Trump is a weak conservative. Its like Cruz, Walker, Jindal, Carson don’t even exist.
