Hillary Clinton promises to take on Donald Trump over his immigration policy as she returns to Iowa amid slumping polls
Clinton campaigning in Iowa over Labor Day weekend as race enters fall She said she is ready to press Republican front-runner Donald Trump about specifics of immigration plan after blasting him on women's rights New tactic comes after slump in polls that shows her losing to socialist senator Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire and lead in Iowa slipping
Campaigning in Iowa over Labor Day weekend, Hillary Rodham Clinton said she is ready to take on Republican opposition and will press for specifics on immigration proposals by front-runner Donald Trump.
The Democratic presidential candidate said in Cedar Rapids Sunday that 'the other side has said they will spend, do and say anything to win back the White House.'
She added: 'I am absolutely confident that whatever they throw at me, I can throw it right back.'
Clinton made the comments before more than 100 people gathered at a private house party. She also campaigned earlier in the day before crowds packed inside and outside a Newton coffee shop called Uncle Nancy's. Clinton pledged to raise incomes, expand early childhood education and defend the Affordable Care Act. She also called for immigration reform and questioned the immigration proposals from Trump.
'I'm going to be pressing very hard to get specifics, because there aren't any specifics,' Clinton said. 'This is just the kind of political rhetoric that doesn't belong in our election.'
She referenced Trump's statements that he 'cherishes' women when he was accused of misogny in a dispute with Fox anchor Megyn Kelly,.
'Well, if it's all the same to you Mr Trump, I'd rather you stop 'cherishing women' and start respecting women,' according to ABC.

Wadda ya mean?
Of course she ... wait...teleprompters are robots, aren’t they?
Never mind.
Yeah, right - “Whatever they throw at me...”
Neither the media nor any debate monitors will allow any hardball questions to come Hillary’s way.
It’s easy to talk tough when you’ve got everyone running interference for you. It’s easy to feel invincible when you literally get away with murder in broad daylight.
And the Clinton White vote goes....drip....drip....drip...
Someone showed her the polling data.
Clinton promises to take on Donald Trump over his immigration policyWho's stopping her?
The Clinton Machine now knows their plan to prop up Jeb isn’t going to work.
It was her only hope of becoming President.
First she’s going to have to find out when visitation hours are.
The return to campaigning in Iowa comes as a new NBC poll show her giving up part of her lead in the state, and also losing ground to Democratic nomination rival Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire.
That pic on post #1 looks like Killary just stepped on a thumbtack.
The thing about plans is that you don’t put all the specifics out there for the media pundits and your opposition to tear asunder. In business, you have goals, and strategies, but must also be flexible and consult with others. I just don’t get why everyone thinks they have to know every nut and bolt of plans in advance. I’m sure he has them, but is smart enough to keep them close to his chest. I haven’t heard any of the others lay out specific plans on anything. Ted Cruz says he is going to eliminate the IRS. If so - how? I want plans and specifics on that. Right now it’s just campaign rhetoric from all of them - yet Trump is the only one being forced to lay out specifics.
She added: ‘I am absolutely confident that whatever they throw at me, I can throw it right back.’
Okay...ONe question... just one question. ARe you for late term abortion when there is no threat to the mother’s life? Yes or No?
That’s not my point. First, I really like Trump’s immigration plan. Not sure we need more details than those for awhile. But HE needs to be able to defend it in debates and not by calling the moderators stupid.
Secondly, it’s not that we need extensive details. What I meant was I’d like to hear him talk more about his philosophy. Make America Great Again is a stirring slogan- I like it. But what does that look like to him? Any candidate could use it, and it would mean somthing profoundly different coming from Hillary or Cruz or Walker or Biden.
I’d prefer less Donald from Donald and more ideas.
Someone showed her a mirror.
Donald Trump has said that he would release position papers on various topics after Labor Day, so we will see his plans soon.
Caption to picture: What!? The Chinese are only giving me $100 million for that classified military information? Why me? Oh why me? Boo Hoo! This is the worst day of my life.
I guess you are the type who has to have things spelled out to you. He has been telling us how he would make America great again. Build a wall - deport illegals - a strong military - better trade negotiations with other countries - repeal obamacare with a plan that allows Americans to buy insurance across state lines - this allows for hefty competition and lower rates. Get rid of the burdensome tax code with a more simple plan at first. Need I go on? This is how you make AMerica great again - to love our country and once again be proud rather than apologize and bow to every 3rd rate leader on the planet.
Yes indeed, I’m the type who likes things made very clear. I’m the type who might be manipulated by the love I have for my country into making a mistake in the voting booth. But I know that so I’m paying close attention.
Yeah, I’m that “type”.
Is the Smartest Woman in the World threatening to focus her huge brain finally, and actually waddle into the fray of ideas?
The moderators will protect her, but I hope you’re right!
That leg is UNhealthy!
