Do you believe Obama’s morals are any better than the Russians or Iranians? According to recent events, Obama has great trust in the Iranians.

I believe the US morals are superior to the Russians and Iranians. Obama has 500 days left in office. I support stopping Russian and Iranian influence in the Middle East. Greece should have complied with our request.

Obama had us help overthrow Libya. HE WAS WRONG.There was an ongoing civil war in Libya. We led from behind. The French and other NATO countries took the lead. They were the force behind intervention because of oil interests and refugee flows into Europe thru Italy.

Ghadaffi was a murderous dictator, but he was a stabilizing force. Whether he could have won the civil war without NATO intervention is conjecture. No doubt there would have been a bloodbath if Ghadaffi won or lost. Knowing what we know now, it was a mistake to help in his downfall.

Obama helped the muzzie brotherhood overthrow Egypt. HE WAS WRONG.

I don't know how much help the US provided. Clearly, the majority of Egyptians wanted Mubarak out. We did support the generals behind the scenes. As it turned out, the MB is out and we are now normalizing relations with Egypt including giving them arms and aid.

Obama screwed up Iraq. HE WAS WRONG.

Failure to secure a SOFA agreement paved the way to the current situation where we now have 3,500 advisers on the ground trying to snatch back a victory squandered by Obama. The Iraqi government is also partly responsible because they rejected a SOFA.

Obama is on the wrong side of the Israel - palestinian issue.

As are most of the Dems.

The Syrian government was attacked by terrorists. What do you think Assad should have done? What do you think the US government would do if attacked by terrorist?

BS. The revolution started internally by the Syrian people who were trying to overthrow a tyrant. The outside influences came later. The initial uprising was by patriots, not terrorists. Unfortunately, we didn't intervene at that point and help them.

To equate a murderous dictator like Assad to the US government shows again your attempt to equate the US morally with a dictator. Hard to believe anyone woud be siding with Assad and his Russian and Iranian backers. If Israel had not taken out Syria's incipient nuclear facility, conditions would be much worse.

“The initial uprising was by patriots ... “ —

I am not fully buying into that. I don’t have enough confidence in the UN, the Obama regime, or our intelligence community to buy into that. I just don’t fully trust them.

And if we have an uprising here in the USA of “patriots,” what do you think will happen?

Yes. It was a mistake to help overthrow Ghadaffi. I’ll take a stabilizing force in that region any time.

This is just another reason not to trust our intelligence community. And where was the plan to stabilize Libya after the aggression?

We had a political influence in the movement to overthrow Mubarak. That should have been clear to everyone. Yes, we may now be trying to normalize relations with Egypt but you can be certain that we have lost their trust. They know our leaders are on the side of the muzzie brotherhood. That should be clear. And I have no doubts that the current leaders are willing to accept arms and aid. Again, I wouldn’t trust the Obama administration on anything.

We agree Obama is mostly responsible for the current crisis in Iraq.

We seem to agree that dems are more on the side of palestinians than Israel.

Also, Assad’s regime has long protected Christians in Syria. That tells me a lot. Women aren’t treated brutally as they are in so many other Islamic nations. He certainly hasn’t been what I would call an Islamic extremist.

Personally, I don’t equate my morals to those of the Russians or Iranians. I also don’t equate my morals to those of the Obama administration. America’s morally superior high ground took a hit with me after twice electing Obama. I don’t trust the Obama administration one bit .... certainly not when it involves Islamic affairs.

Syria was not a serious threat to us or the region. We had not business getting involved.

You confuse morality with foreign policy. If the USA had a morally superior foreign policy we would be allies with Saudi Arabia.

And while in the early days of the so called Syrian revolution it was spun to show that the Syrian uprising was about secular democrats trying to over throw a dictator - it came out over due time that this not the case:

Good article on this:

http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2015/08/25/syrias-lords-of-war

And that article shows that it was really a sectarian uprising.
