“Ive seen the crews working on the rails near the Novato Dump..”

We live in the East Bay, but our daughter lives in Petaluma and her husband commutes to SF. He told me a few days ago, that along with Marin trying to slow down the deal, the construction trades unions are pushing for yet another bond issue so they can “extend” this yet to be inaugurated service to Cloverdale. They are concerned if Marin gives in, that their gravy train to the work to improve the roadway to Cloverdale will not be approved. Welcome to the “It’s all about me generation.”

I predict they will raise taxes until only the very rich can afford to live anywhere around here..

Until Obies....Housing Projects...for Burlingame....Ross...Blackhawk.....etc..etc. are ready for tenancy

No problem. Obama promised to give California to Iran in 10 years.

Obama wants a deal with Iran. Why would he threaten them like that?

Sure they can, look at a map at night of North Korea, I'm sure they use a tiny fraction of the power of South Korea....

Energy use = Prosperity, so California will have to choose, earth worship with poverty for most, or common sense, with prosperity continuing.

San Onfre closed in 2012, Diablo canyon is still open. Maybe a few wind turbines can offset the loss of 2,200 MW of power needs at night to charge all those electric cars.

"54.5 miles per gallon by 2025"

Is that even possible? That is ten years from now. I have an 99 chevy S10 pickup. It is very good on gas. I fill it up about once a month. If it got 55 miles to the gallon I'd fill it up 4 times a year.

Thanks. I thought Diablo was operating, but was too lazy to Google.

Yeah, wind turbines! One of the many problems with them is they keep predator birds away. Rodent populations flourish.

Kalifornistan, riled by liberals.

Don’t bother to care about Mexifornia. The good ones there will soon move out, and the rest will await the “big one”. Following that, we can move in, clear out the rubble (both human and material) and rebuild.

Of course we can! Just send all the illegal aliens home.....

Build the wall, deport illegals home.

Build the wall, they will leave.

Build the Wall.

Of course they can - just outlaw the internal combustion engine and call in all motor vehicles in mandatory exchange for bicycles.

And don’t think for a moment there aren’t plenty of Californians who want to do just that.

“Can California really cut gasoline use by 50 percent?”

Sure. Deport the millions of illegals who are in this state and our gasoline use would drop by half.

The politicians are not ever going to cutback themselves as they get a free car and gas and carwashes at our expense.

Hey there, I’m driving my own 12 year old Eddie Bauer Expedition. Bought it used for a fantastic $18k during one our flirtations with $4 gas. If you see me behind the slightly tinted glass, please try to not confuse me with an illegale. Should I hang onto it another three years and make a killing?

Split off the conservative parts of the state and the libs can claim victory in their urban enclaves.

I think they will get to their goal, because California is being crushed economically, when the economy is on life support you don’t use as much gas.

Since California is in a drought the news has been hitting on who hit or didn’t hit their water usage goals which was supposed to be a decrease of around 30%. All the small towns surrounding our small city missed their target. Guess who lives there? They are all 99% Mexican.
It is the same with gas and water. They don’t care.
