A Muslim flight attendant has filed a religious discrimination lawsuit after being suspended from her job for refusing to serve alcohol to customers because of her religious beliefs.
Charee Stanley, a Michigan employee of ExpressJet who converted to Islam a month after being hired by the company, has enlisted the Council on American Islamic Relations to help her in her efforts, Detroit CBS-TV affiliate WWJ reported.
“We notified ExpressJet Airlines of its obligation under the law to reasonably accommodate Ms. Stanley’s religious beliefs,” her CAIR attorney, Lena Masri, said at a news conference Tuesday. “Instead, ExpressJet chose to violate Ms. Stanley’s constitutional rights, placed her on administrative leave for 12 months, after which her employment may be administratively terminated.”
According to Masri, Stanley had an arrangement with other flight attendants that they would serve alcohol on her flights, but that stopped after another flight attendant filed a complaint against Stanley over her Muslim head scarf.
The executive director of CAIR-Michigan told WWJ News that the organization reached out to the company before filing the lawsuit, but that the response “was not positive.”
ExpressJet spokesman Jarek Beem issued a statement to WWJ News on Tuesday.
“At ExpressJet, we embrace and respect the values of all of our team members,” he said. “We are an equal-opportunity employer with a long history of diversity in our workforce. As Ms. Stanley is an employee, we are not able to comment on her personnel matters.”
Stanley contends her suspension is unfair.
“I don’t think that I should have to choose between practicing my religion properly or earning a living,” she told WWJ News. “I shouldn’t have to choose between one or the other, because they’re both important.”
Now let’s see whether liberal groups demand that she find another job, as they have of Kim Davis, the Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk who is in jail after refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
She failed to do her job so she needs to be fired just as Kim Davis was jailed for standing up for her faith. This double standard set forth by the Terrorist in the White House and this shall STOP.

If Kim Davis was wearing a burkha, she would not be in jail right now.

The difference here is that there was no law that Kim Davis was breaking. The Supreme court might have invalidated Kentucky’s existing laws on marriage, but they did not and could not create a new law.
On the other hand I’m sure the duties of a flight attendant are clearly spelled out and agreed to when employment commences.
The other difference is that Kim is in jail and this Moon-God worshipper will probably end up laughing all the way to the bank.
She was hired because she was person A .... and person A was what she posed to be

Fire her ass and make her pay for all legal fees associated with the matter. CAIR is involved which means US Citizens are paying the way, Hillary is probably giving the orders as she is close with CAIR. So is BO.

And Davis too! I called this two days ago! I absolutely knew this was going to happen and guess what? Here it is. Freedom of religion is just that. Freedom of religion. She doesn’t want to serve alcohol due to her religious beliefs? Fine. Fire her. Davis doesn’t want to give gays marriage license? She needs to be fired too. We can’t have it both ways. Davis’s crusade may be more rightous but in simplistic terms, it is exactly the same. If you can’t do your job, get the hell out.
As I stated the other day, if your religion states that caffeine is a drug, you absolutely can not and will not work at Starbucks.
