His comments were very weak, “I hate to see her being put in jail. I understand what they’re doing.” One could easily interpret that as condoning/supporting the actions of the judge. I can understand not being “up” on the issue initially but it is becoming a firestorm and Trump risks being burned up by it.
I do not see this as the fault of the judge either. The SCOTUS decision legalizing and protecting homo “marriage” greatly restricts his courses of action. If you did not see this exact situation coming the day of that SCOTUS decision than you were not paying attention. The point is that this is now the law, and if it is not somehow changed this type of thing will continue to happen.
