This is stupid, the State just needs to fix this. Eliminate marriage license. All conservative states should get out of the marriage license business. Take this issue off the table. Call all marriages civil unions and let them register on line if the State can’t get out of the marriage license biz. The gays are not interested in getting married they want to force this Fran on this clerk. I bet they never get married even if she agreed to issue the license.

I don’t like gay marriage any more than anyone else, but look it’s the law of the land and upheld by the Supreme Court. No matter how repellent, the only recourse is civil disobedience, and then you’re going to get arrested and face all kinds of legal trouble. The rule of law that says Hillary should be prosecuted for her misdeeds is the same rule of law that says these clerks have to give marriage licenses to gays. If we pick and choose which laws we’re going to enforce then the other side will do the same and you end up with anarchy.
So maybe be smart about it and elminate the license so there is nothing to give out. For Christians, the real marriage is the one before God, not the civil paper.
