Jeb Bush this morning reacted to Donald Trump criticizing him for using Spanish, calling his rival a divisive, unserious person who "doesn't believe in tolerance."
"I think Donald Trump is trying to insult his way to the presidency and it's not going to work," Bush said on Good Morning America. "People want an uplifting hopeful message. People come to this country to pursue their dreams, sometimes they start without speaking English but they learn English and they add vitality to our country."

Push 1 for Trump!
Learning English as an immigrant is America's prime value. Speak your language in church and at home like millions of Italians and Yiddish and Germans have done all through the ages but in the public sphere you communicate in English!
God Bless America!
Tolerance?..what the hell Yeb? How about rule of law?
Push 1 for Jeb. All other callers remain on the line to speak in English.
-—”People want an uplifting hopeful message.-—
People want their country back, Jeb. We want to assume our rightful place in the world.
We want our Constitution respected and the rule of law administered equally and as intended.
We want to get rid of the straight jacket of political correctness.
We wnat once again to truly be the land of the free; the home of the brave.
Got it Mr. Joyful?
My American values do not include having to push 2 for Spanish.
“the Rat nominee will still dominate the Hispanic vote”
Exactly, gator.
It’s something like you or I holding out hope that Kate Upton will call us up and ask us to go clubbing.
(And that our spouses will then give us booze and walking around money.)
Hey Jeborah! The answer to your concern, “But what about the Hispanic vote?!? We’ve got to slurp them ... “
the answer is, the chances of that happening are: “Slim or none, and Slim is working the phones for Trump.”
I’ll take it even further and suggest that Trump would get more support from Hispanics than Jeb would. Especially those who are here legally and resent those who cheated the system.

"ENGLISH M----- ------- DO YOU SPEAK IT?"
I will start out by saying that I am for Trump, and I honestly don’t want another Bush (or Clinton) in the White House.
OK, so I am at this point biased. Nonetheless, and being as objective as I possibly can be, it seems to me to have been a mistake for Bush to have made an address in Spanish, given that immigration is a BIG issue in this campaign (even if it isn’t HIS big issue). All that this did was to help Trump to solidify the anti-illegal immigrant attitude in the country in his favor.
Now he comes to criticize Trump for telling him to speak English if he’s campaigning for President of the US - Wow, just wow! Bush should, in my humble (and biased) opinion, have said, “You know what, Donald, you’re right about that one narrow issue...but you are wrong about immigration - and then gone on to explain why (in his view). All that Bush did was to double down on a mistake.
OK, enough analysis of Bush’s remarks. Here’s my opinion regarding immigration: I am NOT anti-immigrant. 3 of my great, great grandparents, 6 of my 8 great grandparents and 3 of my 4 grandparents were born outside of the US (and the 4th one might as well have been, because she was what would today be called an anchor baby - though she wasn’t used like that because her parents entered legally, didn’t go on welfare, and became citizens who paid their taxes and obeyed the law). Many of their descendants went on to become doctors, lawyers, nurses, etc. - i.e. skilled, productive and contributing members of THIS society. Since I am Jewish, and all of these people came into the country before WW2, I am intensely happy and grateful that this country opened its doors and gave them refuge, because otherwise I simply would not even exist. Additionally, my wife is an immigrant - also legally (and at no small expense in money, time or effort, I might add), and who also became a citizen, who has never taken a dime of assistance and who works and pays taxes. So I think that immigration CAN be a good thing. But lately (i.e. since about 1965), it has overall been far less than a good thing.
Now that my bona fides as someone who is NOT reflexively anti-immigrant have been established, here is my view of what is wrong with immigration policy and practice. The 1965 Immigration Act was expressly designed by Bobby and Ted Kennedy to change the rules of the game in the middle, to give the Dems massive numbers of new voters...because the then-existing voters were largely rejecting their socialist, statist, weak on the Soviet Union policies. The 1964 election was an aberration, and they used it to the maximum advantage. Dems since then have been relentless in encouraging and paying for any and all immigrants to come here, knowing that in the first generation at least 8 in 10 that get citizenship will vote for the Dem in any race. IOW, they didn’t like their voters, so they decided to bring in new ones to fix future elections in their favor.
Trump represents the majority of Americans who understand this, even if they don’t know the details. They (or, more properly, WE) object to the country that we grew up in being changed so radically and permanently, and we KNOW that if there is an amnesty then there will be no going back. We know and understand that:
1) Illegal immigration must be stopped in its tracks;
2) The whole idea of birthright citizenship must be stopped in its tracks;
3) The idea of anchor babies - where a single American citizen can bring in literally dozens of relatives (if they ARE relatives and not lying, which many of them do), must be stopped in its tracks;
4) The whole INSANE concept of people coming into this nation and being immediately eligible for massive public assistance must be stopped in its tracks;
5) The idea and practice of “sanctuary cities” must be eliminated, immediately; and
6) Before we continue to admit large numbers of new immigrants after steps 1 - 5 are successfully implemented, we must be certain that almost all of the illegals present in the US have been removed. Most will NOT need to be rounded up, they will self-deport because of lack of jobs, lack of benefits, and lack of anchor babies. If someone thinks that self-deportation is a pipe-dream, then ask yourself how these people got here in the first place - did we kidnap them? No, they got here by themselves, often at great expense and effort. They can go back very easily, as there will be no legal or physical obstacles placed in their way. Heck, I’d be prepared to have the US Treasury pay for plane or bus fare, plus several days of food, a shower and clean clothes. We can and should be civilized and nice about it - but also FIRM that it must happen.
Bush simply is one of many high-level politicians who do not comprehend that our nation is at risk, and that the people of this nation both understand it and recoil at the idea. Time to wake up, Jeb!
¡Jeb! was quick to admit that he and his family are “hyphenated” Americans.
“sometimes they start without speaking English but they learn English and they add vitality to our country.”
I guess you haven’t been to my area, Jebbie. They don’t seem to be interested in learning English. There are enough of them that they don’t need to learn the native language. They are not interested in assimilating. In other words, they have no connection to this country, other than trying to take a job from an American and working the welfare system in any way they can.
Keep your “act of love” bilge for low information voters.
Speaking spanish for trade is one thing, but promoting instability is terrorism. Jeb is going gray on us.
Press 1 for English. All others hang up.
We look forward to Mrs. iYeb Bush talking about this at your next Presser Jeb.
PS: Please bring a translator for us that don't speak Spanish!
Either that or he is by far the dumbest Bush with the biggest tin ear of any of them. Considering his competition, that's not saying much for him............
I think both Jeb and Hillary have been exposed as, shall we say, people of “moderate” intelligence - and nothing more.
As to whether he really wants it or not? Interesting point. The Bush’ can be astonishingly tone deaf even when trying to be smart. Then again, it was said of his father in 92 that he really didn’t want it vs Clinton and Perot.
