People support Trump because he is a fighter. He doesn’t apologize for having opinions that others (particularly in the media) don’t agree with.
People support Trump because he wants America to be number one. He is a rejection of the Obama mentality that there is no, and should be no, American exceptionalism.
You just described my support for Trump. There are ideological class room theory conservationism and then there is real life in the trenches conservationism. Trump is a real world conservative and by real world I mean the business sector.
You know that classic line from Ghostbusters? “Personally I like the university. They gave us money and facilities. We didn’t have to produce anything. You’ve never been out of college. You don’t know what it’s like out there. I’ve worked in the private sector. They expect results.”

Well, I suppose that is true if you consider the theft of people’s property via eminent domain, the bribing of politicians to ensure your own wealth, the calling for a wealth tax, support for Obamacare and donating to gun grabber as “conservative.”
Trump is part of the problem that he has helped create. he is not a solution to an out of control federal government.
