You are bad for telling the truth about Trump! Trump lived in New York and had to donate to Sharpton! It’s okay that he donated to Trump, but if any other candidate did, they would be terrible!

Trump worked the system — every side of it. Everyone knows this. Trump’s appeal isn’t that he’s “more conservative” than such-and-such. It’s that we think he’ going to be a better president than the others, and flipping the bird to the elites while doing it makes it a hell of a lot of fun to boot.

“I dont want my President to SCHMOOZE with vile street thugs like sharpton”

Yes, he should sit in a corner for 4 years and “be” a perfect conservative. He shouldn’t go through the fires of hell to get what he wants. Time after time, he charmed thugs, and got what he wanted eventually. He knows his Sun Tzu.

“Ya think a real conservative would HANG OUT with this THUG???”

“Real conservative”?

Rush, who, by the way, did an exceptional job today, talked about the “real conservative” mantra going around lately. He mentioned conservatives need to actually get something accomplished, rather than just engage in intellectual exercises. It seems conservatives are satisfied with proclaiming how pure they are compared to someone they don’t like.

National Review has their noses in the air over the supposed lack of conservative purity displayed by Trump, when the main editor of that magazine came out for gay marriage. These people are losing their minds.

Have you ever had relationships with people who didn’t agree with your politics? I have. I didn’t adopt their views or agree with things they did, but socially they were friends. If one of them needed some cash, I’d probably have given them some.

We get all exercised because Trump gave Sharpton some money. I don’t know what that money was for, or if Trump even knew. It doesn’t sound like a massive sum of money when you consider the relationship has gone on for something like 27 years now.

I can’t see spending any time with Sharpton, but I’m not convinced Trump did eather except where it might put him in touch with King, as mentioned in the article.

If Sharpton but the squeeze on Trump for the woman, it may have come at the right time when Trump needed him.

You’ve got multi-hundred million if not billion dollar enterprise on the line. With a little effort you’ve got Don King in your pocket. Is that sinister?

I’m no Sharpton fan. Frankly I’ve loathed him and Jackson for decades. The Tawana Brawley incident was enough to convince me he was untouchable. Trump needed him.

Should that eliminate him from being president. Again, for some it will. For me it won’t.

We’ve got four years to turn this nation around. Beyond that, we’ve got serious catastrophic issues.

I’m going with Trump because he can. Nobody else can.

That’s the long and the short of it.

That’s a litmus test I like to check.

If we lose Trump, we lose.

The left and GOP know that. He’s the only one standing in their way and they are willing to do anything to get him out of the race. But know there will be no “conservative” in the wings to take the mantle. It’s Trump or GOPe, end of story.

Which is why I will stick with Trump as long as he’s in the race, no matter what hit pieces come out. Another GOPe/Dem race and America’s gone for good.

Have you seen one other candidate handle the press the way Trump does?

I haven’t. He doesn’t take guff, and he does it in a manner that is seen as reasonably fair.

We can back Trump, or we can watch the press and GOPe mow down our Conservatives just like they did in 2012.

We’ve tried that too many times. I’m not going that route this year.

Yeah, I’ve seen one that can handle the press and anyone else just fine. Impressively, in fact.

The difference is, he doesn’t give a floor show. Doesn’t make it into tabloid entertainment. Seems that’s what attracts some voters these days.

You can have your liberal. I won’t vote for him under any circumstances.
