If nothing else, Trump's candidacy is shining a bright light on some of these groups in their self-selected shadows, and their deceiving misapplication of vague and nebulous terminology to describe themselves and others.

The term “Intellectual Elite” goes back to the late 1800’s and the Fabian Socialist Movement which spawned such terms and concepts as “Progressivism” and justified the mass killing of certain classes of people.
