The two Walmart stores in my town are now closed at night. I’m sure to save payroll costs.
They are no longer open 24 hours in my town either; the place is simply a crime magnet. I suspected the police may have approached them about ponying up for off-duty uniformed officers or something along those lines.
I actually like our 24 hour supermarket because while many of the same people (Newark residents) use it, they are they many hours after I’ve left. There is nothing like grocery shopping at the earliest time the deli is open (6 am in this case); I don’t think I’d ever enter a Wal-Mart later than 8 am. There really are two different worlds out there...
