Pendejo means stupid. Uh, not quite. It is a complex term, being slang, and PART of it may mean stupid. Other people look at it as being stronger than calling someone "a--hole" in English.
Jeb knows what he's doing - at least with that word. Trouble for him is that he's really not winning any new votes among the invaders, but he is really showing what a pendejo he is to those of us who actually care about this country. IOW, he is doubling down on being a pendejo.

Thx for that. I just looked the word up using a Spanish to English translator.
After your comment I did a little more research and was surprised that some folks think it is not a word to be used in polite company. Is that true?
There is no doubt that Trump has pushed Bush out of his comfort zone and made him angry.

Well, I'm not a native Spanish speaker, I'm just married to one. Suffice it to say that it is NOT a polite word, and that she generally doesn't use it much in the presence of the older generation (and she doesn't suffer fools gladly, so it is used quite a lot most of the rest of the time).
